A narrow, rocky south-east facing ridge.
From the A44 between Llanfihangel-Nant-Melan and Penybont, turn off south west opposite Larch Grove (SO144615) and follow the straight track across the common and park at the first junction (SO137612).
From the slope in front of the rocks. Inflate your glider above the fence and then ground handle it up the slope between the screes. Climb up as high as possible before taking off to ensure you launch into the lift band.
Not recommended due to the small summit.
Anywhere on the slope.
Either in front of take off or, if you have enough height, on the common.
You should inspect the summit before taking off if you have not flown the site before.
There can be a strong Venturi effect between the rock outcrops -- be careful not to get blown back.
A good alternative to Bache in strong winds or low cloud.
We do not have permission to fly the north east or north western sides ot the ridge.
